requested that I draw something related to her characters Anson and Mitchell with Vamu, messing around at a farmer’s market.
happyvamil’s Vamu tickleattacking Anson, a stuffy aristocrat character from my little steampunk pet project. (I think I will wind down this weekend by putting up a little blurb briefly explaining this and Godlings using that ‘pages’ feature. I’ve been wanting to exploit that for a while.)
It’s nice drawing sweet, unrestrained moments like these. :) Also, drawing big emotions on a typically quite (outwardly) stoic character.
So guys, let me break this down for you, so you can understand our madness.
Vamu is the little sister of a minor character in a novel I’ve been writing since I was five (thus the cat ears). Anson is from one of roommate’s aborted nanowrimo attempts turned plot bunny. Vamu is in a permanent romantic relationship with Mitchell (not pictured here) who is Anson’s best friend and possibly the main character. How did this happen? It’s a long story. You’ll hear it eventually.
But! What I wanted to explain to you guys is Mitchell/Vamu/Anson (or Vamutchon, if you roll that way). You see, Vamutchell is a beautiful wholesome destined ship that is completely canon and wonderful.

However! Vamu and Anson are also very good for each other (and have ridiculous amounts of UST). They both work together as a team to get Vamu together with Mitchell, which is great for a while, because Anson gets to see his best friend happy. But then… things happen, they don’t see each other for nine years, and when they reunite Anson has to suddenly re-confront feelings~. Basically things get complicated. Jealousy, guilt, all those fun things.
Roommate and I haven’t figured out how this works out yet, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for an OT3. Because really, if any of our characters can pull off a canon poly relationship, it’s these three.
(For any of you Myers-Briggs fans out there, these guys are an INFJ, an ENTP, and an ENFP. I think that explains a lot.)
